About Farm Design Events
Farm Design Events is the event design and décor division of Farm Design, a multidisciplinary creative company. Farm Design was established in 2003.
Farm Design Events focusses on creating high-profile events of all kinds. We have done intimate dinners for ten, beer festivals for thousands and welcome cocktail and gala dinners for hundreds, children’s parties and golfing events. There is nothing too big or too small.
Farm Design Events has built up a wide network of suppliers and resources.

Kathy Page Wood – Creative Director
Kathy Page Wood is the driving force behind Farm Design Events. Always on trend, innovative and resourceful, Kathy adds style to any event. Kathy launched the high-performing fashion label Hip Hop in 1985, and built it up to be one of the few independent clothing design houses in South Africa with its own chain of stores. Kathy sold Hip Hop in 2007 to pursue her other passion – event design.

Hajiera van Oudtshoorn – Logistics and Finance
Hajiera is an experienced veteran in managing the budget and logistics of events. Whether it is a multi-day, multi-event conference or a board meeting at the CTICC, she has the details of budget and timing in hand.
Hajiera completed a Certificate in Marketing Management at the Cape Technikon (now Cape Peninsula University of Technology) in 2002, with majors in Marketing and Sales Promotions. She joined Farm Design at its inception in 2003 as the company’s administrator. She is responsible for production management and bookkeeping most valued for her keen attention to detail.
Kamaal Martin – Logistics and Client Service
Kamaal joined Farm Design in 2011. He is responsible for client service and logistics.
Kamaal studied marketing at IMM (The Graduate School and has a sales and marketing background. He soon became an expert in logistics, setup and termination of events. He manages the Farm Design Events team on the ground on event days, and keeps an amazing drive and work ethic amongst the guys.
Farm Design Events has a very experienced build-up and break-down crew. We members of this crew is matched to the size and location of the event and the crew is managed by Kamaal Martin on site. Build-up and break-down is the unseen part of a successful and stress-free event. We take great pride in this part of event design and coordination.
