Sophisticated wedding at Cavalli Estate
Paul and Nikki a stylish young couple wanted to be involved in every aspect of their wedding. Farm Design Events made their vision a reality, and “collaboration” is the best way to describe the adventure we had designing this extraordinary evening together.
The ceremony was held at beautiful St Saviours Church in Claremont, ready for Palm Sunday the church was lined in Palm leaves, we kept the church simple with waterfalls of candles on either side of the alter.
The couple left for Cavalli in a cream Alpha Spider, the weather was on its best behaviour, and the afternoon turned into a perfect autumn evening.
Nikki and Paul were adamant that people would be able to talk and see each other at the tables. So we took the floral up. Cascades of Fynbos and Hydrangeas (many from the bride’s grandmothers garden) tumbled from bamboo beams and brought the gardens of Cavalli into the venue.
We brought Nikki’s love of Fynbos onto the tables by printing linen cloths with botanical illustrations by Xandi Redelinghuys. Six different designs printed in black on the off white cloths gave the event a Contemporary look in keeping with the sophistication of Cavalli. Crystal candlesticks and votive candles lit the tables and as the sun set guests entered this exquisite room. Guests few in from all over the world and were treated to the best of South African from wine and food to architecture and hospitality. This was a once in a lifetime experience for Paul and Nikki, their family and friends.
