Farm Design Events once again wove its decor magic on the fabulous Cape Wine Auction. With the magnificent backdrop of Boschendal’s idyllic wine farm, The Olive Press was the perfect setting for this annual fund-raising event.
Country flowers in jars and vintage vases brought nature inside and added whimsy to stylish banquet tables. Always on trend, Farm Design Events celebrated the glamour of the day with gorgeous gold touches: gilded chairs, golden vases and glittering flying swallows.
As it was Valentine’s Day, flirty hearts dressed with twists of willow and swooping swallows stood amongst oak wine barrels on lawns where guests sipped Boschendal bubbly.
The event bristled with excitement as guests fiercely out-bid one another for the internationally acclaimed wines. In just one afternoon, the Cape Wine Auction raised more than R10 million, with proceeds going to the Click Foundation, to the Pebbles Project and towards developing women wine-makers in South Africa.
Farm Design Events created an event of world-class elegance that was chic, whimsical and in keeping with the majestic natural surrounds.
