Farm Design Events is the event design and décor division of Farm Design, a multidisciplinary creative company. Farm Design was established in 2003.

Farm Design Events focusses on creating high-profile events of all kinds. We have done intimate dinners for ten, beer festivals for thousands and welcome cocktail and gala dinners for hundreds, children’s parties and golfing events. There is nothing too big, or too small.

Farm Design Events has built up a wide network of suppliers and resources.

“Having the reliable partners, and a lot of resources, is the key to being able to scale up our services when you are creating an event for a thousand people.”

Kathy Page Wood – Creative Director

Kathy Page Wood is the driving force behind Farm Design Events. Always on trend, innovative and resourceful, Kathy adds style to any event. Kathy launched the high-performing fashion label Hip Hop in 1985, and built it up to be one of the few independent clothing design houses in South Africa with its own chain of stores. Kathy sold Hip Hop in 2007 to pursue her other passion – event design.

Event design is about so much more than putting a vase of flowers on a table. It’s about guests’ experience from the first sip of a welcome cocktail to the band that is appointed. People underestimate the power of good décor – it’s a way to make guests feel special, that someone has taken care to make sure their experience is unforgettable. From product launches to award dinners – each project is designed afresh.” – Kathy Page Wood

The crew

Farm Design Events has a very experienced build-up and break-down crew. Members of this crew is matched to the size and location of the event. Build-up and break-down is the unseen part of a successful and stress-free event. We take great pride in this part of event design and coordination.
